Education

Harvest is located in both Argyle and Northwest Independent School Districts, two highly sought after districts in North Texas which consistently rank among the best in North Texas.  Both school districts plan to have onsite elementary schools and Argyle ISD is proposing an onsite middle school.

Argyle ISD

Argyle ISD is an exemplary school district whose high school was awarded the silver ranking by US News and World Report in Best High Schools nationwide.  With a 15:1 student-teacher ratio, Argyle ISD serves just under 1,800 students from grades PreK through 12.  In addition to offering a large athletics program, which competes in District 10-3A, Argyle ISD is a proud participant in the Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL) and are proud recipients of the “Lone Star Cup” award for excellence in academics, athletic and music for the third year in a row and fifth time overall.  The reigning Conference 3A marching band state champions also captured football and academic state championships are are state runners-up in girls basketball, boys golf, and baseball.

Northwest ISD

Northwest ISD is one of the fastest growing school districts in the state of Texas and attracts more than 1,400 new students each year.  NISD spans 234 square miles and serves 14 communities in parts of three counties.  The district operates two comprehensive high schools, an accelerated high school, five middle schools, 17 elementary schools, a special programs center and a community-based youth residential program.  The NISD includes 5 academies from which students can choose a focused area of study.  There is also a 100+ acre outdoor learning center that is available to students at all grade levels.  NISD is proud to be named one of the “Best Communities for Music Education in America” for the fourth consecutive year.  The NISD health, physical education and athletics department strives to graduate student athletes who are career and college ready, equipped with skills needed to achieve success.  The programs promote participation in physical activities and health-conscious behaviors that prepare students for the ability to think critically, value commitment and a strong work ethic.
