Harvest Provides More Than 600 Meals!

June 14, 2016

At Harvest we don't just gather, we gather with a purpose.  Harvest is a proud partner of the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB), a partnership that started in 2014.  Since then, our homeowners have joined in the effort in a big way!  Our homeowners manage three garden plots where 100% of the produce is donated to the NTFB. Additionally, many homeowners make regular donations of surplus produce grown in their own gardens. Another way we give back is through our big HOA events.

On June 4, Harvest kicked off Summer with its "Hello To Summer Bash."  We had a live band, food and ice cream trucks, a gaming truck, and bubble soccer. After weeks of rain, it was nice to see the sun and all the homeowners out and about. In order to play bubble soccer, each player had to bring five canned food items for the NTFB.  We are proud to say that our "Hello to Summer Bash" collected 763 pounds of food, which translates to 636 meals to the NTFB!

Thank you Harvest residents for being a community that pays it forward!
