In Wyoming I am the Bar BC Mascot, in Texas I am the Harvest Farm Dog, but most importantly I am Mary Jane’s loyal friend!
For those who I haven’t met, my name is Jackson Jack Ashmore also known as Jackie Boy, Jackie, and Jack. My owner, Mary Jane, rescued me when I was 18 months old. I used to live in Texas and spent most of my days at the Farmhouse. While I loved being at Harvest, it was time for me and Mary Jane to go back to the Bar BC Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
What I miss most about Harvest are the kids. They would always come to the Farmhouse and ask if I could come out and play. I also LOVED when the Watson’s or Kleehammer’s would stop by and take me out for a walk! If you don’t know, I love to run! I would explore all the back roads around Harvest and run as fast as I could on that road behind the cemetery. Since I have been back at the ranch, I have found lots of places to run. Mary Jane clocked me running at 23 miles an hour one time!
Interesting fact about me, I am Labrador but I don’t bark, swim, or retrieve. I am, however, a people dog. I will sit, shake, lie down, and wait patiently to do something for you. In fact, when I was at Harvest Mary Jane would put mail under my collar and I would head upstairs and deliver it to Tim (the General Manager for Harvest)…mainly because Tim kept yummy doggie treats at his desk but shhhh don’t tell Mary Jane that!
Since I have been back to the ranch, I have made some wild friends! Matilda the Moose, who comes to the door to say hi, is one of my favorites. The cows here are really nice too and they share the road so I can run. I am sure I will meet many more friends and have many more adventures here in Jackson Hole.
